Nonprofit organizations have the same needs as any other business - as they expand they’ll require buildings, facilities and technology systems, and need to develop and maintain those systems. This does not come cheap - which is why there are infrastructure grants to help cover the costs. 

These grants can be used for a wide range of nonprofit needs. This could include the construction of new buildings, renovation of existing facilities, upgrades to technology or equipment and improvements to energy efficiency and capacity.

There are a wide range of organizations that might give out infrastructure grants. These can include private foundations, community foundations or even corporate philanthropy efforts. When drafting an infrastructure grant proposal, you need to make it clear why the infrastructure and upgrade are necessary, and how they benefit the mission of your nonprofit.
