The new media arts incorporate a wide range of technologies - not just digital platforms, but also interactive installations, virtual and augmented reality, and multimedia storytelling. This new media allows artists to reach whole new audiences, and push the limit of artistic expression. Of course, just like traditional arts, many artists require the support of nonprofits in order to pursue their creative endeavors.

In turn, these nonprofits often require grant money to pursue their missions and support these artists. These grants can be put towards all kinds of initiatives, including digital arts installations, supporting the livelihoods of artists, or providing the technology needed for them to make their ideas reality.

There are many different organizations that might provide grants in this space. This includes many private foundations, such as the Knight Foundation or Creative Capital. There are also many corporate organizations involved in this space, such as the Mozilla Foundation. 

When drafting a new media arts grant, it's essential to use data to demonstrate the growth of digital art, and the potential impact it can have, including audience reach. You also need to show that you have a clear understanding of the technology involved, and what will be required to support artists in this space.
