Before you begin researching grantmakers, take a moment to clearly define what you're seeking funding for and why it matters. This first step will make the rest of your grant research faster and far more targeted, because you'll be searching for funders aligned with your specific work and not scrolling through a sea of unaligned funding opportunities.
Create Projects
Create Projects directly on your Dashboard. Think of a Project as a virtual "container" that keeps your funding need, project description, search criteria, and saved prospects connected in one place.
Create a Project for each distinct funding need. Different funders support different types of work, so separating Projects helps you stay organized and prevents your research from becoming too confusing.
For example, you might create a Project for:
- Each initiative your organization offers
- General operating support
- Equipment needs
