Funding to Reduce Firearm-Related Harm
Kaiser Permanente Center for Gun Violence Research and Education

Application deadline: September 3, 2025
Grant amount: Up to $300,000
Description: Category 1 offers up to $100,000 over two years to strengthen the capacity of organizations or clinical settings to conduct research on healthcare strategies that address community firearm violence or firearm suicide. Category 2 provides up to $300,000 over two years to support new or expanded research on evidence-informed healthcare practices or clinical care models targeting these same issues. Both categories aim to advance the role of healthcare systems in understanding and mitigating firearm-related harm in communities.

Building Collaborative Capacity for Forest Stewardship
National Forest Foundation

Application deadline: Mini Grants: July 25, 2025; Standard Grants for Community Partner Applicants: August 1, 2025; Standard Grants for Tribal Applicants August 22, 2025.
Grant amount: Mini Grants: Up to $10,000; Standard Grants: $10,001-$75,000
Description: The Collaborative Capacity Program for Forests & Communities invests in the resources, skills, tools, and support activities that make collaboration for forest stewardship successful. Funding must support collaboration or collaboration-based activities that aim to benefit forests and grasslands that are currently managed by the U.S. Forest Service through the National Forest System.

Capital Grants to Strengthen Communities
Bolger Foundation

Application deadline: September 1, 2025
Grant amount: $10,000 to $250,000
Description: The Bolger Foundation offers U.S. nonprofits grants for capital projects. Funding supports initiatives in conservation, underserved populations, health (including mental health), community, and education. Eligible expenses include construction, building improvements, capital equipment, furnishings, and other one-time physical needs.
