Fundraising
Research Tip

More and more funders are focusing on collaborative efforts. Think about what aspects of your organization may not be the strongest, and then try to figure out how working with another organization could help you out in those areas. Collaborations may be especially useful for small organizations that may not have the capacity on their own to meet the requirements of some funders.

Moving Beyond “We’ve Always Done it That Way”

Webinar date: November 20, 2:00 PM Eastern Time
Description: If you’ve heard “we’ve always done it that way” one too many times, this session is for you. Change can feel risky, especially in organizations built on tradition. But staying stuck in old habits quietly costs time, money, and momentum. In this fast-paced, practical webinar, bestselling author and fundraiser-in-chief, Patrick Kirby, will help you break patterns without breaking hearts (or budgets). You'll see how to rewire three major levers that can keep your team spinning their wheels: board management, fundraising events, and supporter engagement. You’ll discover why boards stacked with one “type” stall decisions and limit growth, how events can drain staff for minimal return, and how random or last-minute stewardship quietly erodes donor loyalty. Then, you’ll get the antidotes: plug-and-play tools, recruiting scripts, and ready-to-use templates you can use right away.

During this webinar, Amanda Day and Kimberly Hays de Muga will guide you in creating and maintaining internal controls that ensure your organization remains compliant. Using the Federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) guidelines as a foundation, you’ll explore what systems should be in place and how to work together to design and implement them effectively.
