Description: The A.J. Muste Foundation for Peace + Justice supports grassroots movements advancing human rights, equality, and efforts to dismantle systems of social, economic, and political oppression. Through its Rapid Response Grants program, the Foundation provides emergency funding to U.S. organizations engaged in nonviolent activism. Grants support organizing events, direct actions, and other time-sensitive efforts responding to urgent needs or emerging political opportunities.
National Grants Support Children Facing Adversity
CAPTRUST Community Foundation
Application deadline: March 13, 2026
Grant amount: Multiple grants up to $25,000 and one grant of $100,000+
Target population: Children
Description: The CAPTRUST Community Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations across the U.S. that enrich the lives of children, particularly those facing illness, disability, abuse, poverty, or family instability. The Foundation’s Partnership Grant Program annually awards one Charity of Choice grant of $100,000 or more, along with additional national grants of $25,000. The Foundation also offers Crisis Grants to support charities assisting families affected by natural disasters or other major crises.
Unrestricted Grants for Deaf Community Organizations
Deaf Organizations Fund
Application deadline: March 10, 2026
Grant amount: $20,000
Target population: Deaf community members
Description: The Deaf Organizations Fund provides unrestricted Impact Grants to organizations and programs serving Deaf communities. Funding supports immediate community needs, such as food security, housing, safety supports, and access to mental health services. The focus is also on long-term organizational sustainability through capacity-building, fundraising, and operational support. Priority is given to organizations strengthening services and resources for Deaf community members.
Funding Early-Stage Research and Training in Women’s Health
Foundation for Women’s Wellness
Application deadline: April 3, 2026
Grant amount: $5,000 or $25,000
Target population: Women and girls
Description: The Foundation for Women's Wellness supports innovative early-stage research and professional development to improve women’s health. Research Awards fund short-term studies at U.S. medical institutions focused on major women’s health concerns, including cardiovascular disease, female cancers, hormone-related health, and diseases disproportionately affecting women. Fellowship Awards support emerging physicians and scientists pursuing advanced training in women’s health disciplines.

Transform Minnesota: The One Fund

Geographic scope: Minnesota
Target population: Immigrant communities
Description: Transform Minnesota provides emergency funding through the One Fund to support immigrant churches and ministries responding to short-term crises related to immigration enforcement. Grants help congregations assist families facing detention, family separation, job loss, or sudden income disruption. Funding aims to strengthen churches’ capacity to provide immediate, community-based support for vulnerable immigrant households in Minnesota.
Community Grants for Neighborhood Change in Brooklyn, NYC

Grant amount: Up to $25,000
Geographic scope: Brooklyn, New York City
Target population: Community members
Description: Brooklyn Org supports partnerships between community-based nonprofits through its Neighborhood Collective Impact Projects program. Grants fund one-year collaborative initiatives addressing key Brooklyn challenges, including affordability, housing, immigration, mental health, workforce development, climate change, and youth services. Projects must involve at least two nonprofit partners and provide critical resources to historically disempowered BIPOC communities.

Cigna Group Foundation

Grant amount: $150,000
Geographic scope: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas
Target population: Youth ages 5-18
Description: The Cigna Group Foundation supports community-based programs that improve mental health and well-being for youth ages 5–18 and the adults who support them. Funding prioritizes evidence-based initiatives that expand social-emotional learning, trauma-informed services, family–school partnerships, and early intervention pathways. Organizations serving diverse and underserved communities in areas where The Cigna Group operates are encouraged to apply.
General Operating Support for Nonprofits in Alabama
The Daniel Foundation of Alabama

Grant amount: Up to $25,000
Geographic scope: Alabama
Target population: Community members
Description: The Daniel Foundation of Alabama provides general operating grants to nonprofits strengthening communities across Alabama. Funding supports programs in education, arts and community, and health and human services, including early childhood and K–12 education, youth mentoring, basic needs services, healthcare access, mental health services, and veteran support. Organizations focused on improving the quality of life for Alabama residents are eligible.

Federal Grants to Strengthen U.S. Agricultural Systems

Target population: Agricultural communities
Description: The National Institute of Food and Agriculture supports transdisciplinary research, education, and extension projects through the Agriculture and Food Research Initiative – Strengthening Agricultural Systems program. Funding supports projects that expand markets for agricultural and forestry products, address plant and animal pests and diseases, combat food and diet-related chronic disease, and advance artificial intelligence in K–12 food and agricultural sciences. Eligible applicants include colleges and universities, land-grant institutions, Hispanic-serving agricultural colleges, and state agricultural experiment stations working to improve farm viability, food systems, and quality of life for farmers.
Preventing Youth Opioid and Drug Misuse
Department of Health and Human Services: Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act

Grant amount: Up to $75,000
Geographic scope: National
Target population: Youth at risk of drug misuse
Description: The Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act (CARA) Community-based Coalition Enhancement Grants support U.S. community coalitions working to prevent opioid, methamphetamine, and prescription drug misuse among youth ages 12–18. The program provides funding to current or former Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program recipients to expand local prevention efforts and address emerging drug crises. Eligible applicants include nonprofit coalitions and coalition partners such as local governments, Tribal entities, community organizations, and educational institutions working to reduce youth substance use in their communities.
